ABOUT

Harvard Kennedy School MPP. Currently at GovAI in London.

I recently completed my Master in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. For my capstone, I worked with Mila (Quebec's AI institute) to propose an early warning and response system that would track and respond to early signs of AI-driven job loss in Canada.

I'm currently at the Centre for the Governance of AI in London as a Summer Fellow, continuing this research. I grew up in Vancouver, studied business and psychology at UBC, and spent three years at PwC Canada. A significant portion of my time there went to advising Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) as part of the Benefits Delivery Modernization (BDM) programme. I also ran Responsible AI workshops for Canada's major banks in partnership with the Vector Institute.

Current Focus

  • Policy Analysis Exercise (completed): Built an early warning framework for AI-driven job displacement in Canada, prepared for Mila. The framework sets out the measurement infrastructure and four data pillars Canada needs to detect displacement before it reaches aggregate statistics. Full executive summary at aiearlywarning.ca.
  • GovAI Summer Fellowship: Currently in London, working with Sayash Kapoor on the barriers to AI diffusion within the consulting industry. The project examines what slows AI adoption inside consulting firms, using a methodology modeled on Sayash's research into AI diffusion in legal services.
  • The Rod Pod: Conversations with researchers, policymakers, and entrepreneurs about how AI is reshaping society and what good policy looks like before we need it.
